I was unemployed for about a month already when I started to think of working abroad. So I started applying through several online job sites. After a few days, I received calls from several agencies, which I have not applied for, and I rejected them for they are all offering jobs bound to Saudi Arabia. To work in Saudi Arabia was the last thing in my mind but I realized that too much time may go to waste if I continue to reject calls.
I started searching about living in Saudi Arabia through facebook, hashtags in instagram, google search, google maps, wikipedia etc. I read a lot of rules, I see no people in photos uploaded in instagram and all I saw was food photography. I thought it was very lonely there. I was not really sure if I really want to work there but I have to get a job as soon as possible.
So, the next day, I received another call, It was from Skilled Management Corporation. I went for the interview, I passed and accepted the offer. The agency was really accommodating, the staffs are nice but I have to say that I hate them informing me that I have pay this and that one by one. Medical, then Red ribbon, then processing fee and Even at the airport, moments before we went inside the departure area, We were again asked to pay another fee, really!
At the airport, I was with my family and to leave them was the most heartbreaking moment of my life. I had to endure and face new challenges without them. It was still comforting enough though because I am sure that I will be able to give them a better life.
