Upon my arrival here in Saudi Arabia, I was expecting a country of Sand and desert, extreme heat and strict laws to the point that you are not allowed to move or be happy. hahaha! But it's not. I think that I just got brainwashed by the internet because only 30 to 40% of what I read about saudi is true.
I have to say though that the company, Fawzi Saleh Al Najrani Est, that I have become part of is not that good but it's not insanely bad. I was expecting to work and stay in Al Khobar, but unfortunately, we were sent to Al Jubail. I found out that it's a supply company but it has its own projects too. My agency in the Philippines did not inform me about it, they only told me that they did not know about it also. It's too late already to complain about it though.
We were all brought to Al Maglouth Camp. We were 4 in a room, which is not good but otherwise It was fun. There were Pakistani, Indian, Nepal and the majority are Chinese. Unexpectedly, the camp was infested with Bed bugs, It was awful but we were able to solve it after several days. whew!
The first time we ate at a restaurant, I did not expect that the servings of foods here were this huge. It was really good, we call it Kabsa. A nice tasting fried chicken, fried rice and topped by french fries. Expect the destruction of your diet program here in Saudi hehe.
